Laurielen’s passion for health and wellness is deeply personal. At the age of 24, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. At a time when advanced diabetes-management technology was not as accessible as it is today, she learned firsthand how important nutrition, physical activity, consistency, and healthy habits were in managing her blood sugar and supporting her overall health. Exercise became an essential part of her lifestyle and one of the most powerful tools she used to maintain her well-being. Her personal journey inspired her to learn more about nutrition and healthy living and strengthened her desire to help others take control of their health.
Laurielen has extensive experience working with older adults, including supporting memory stimulation activities and promoting physical activity and overall well-being. She also works with individuals with disabilities and their families, providing support, guidance, and wellness-focused activities.
She also works as a Family Engagement Specialist, helping families access resources, develop skills, and actively participate in programs that support their health and well-being.
Through Health Hack, Laurielen’s mission is to empower individuals to make realistic and sustainable lifestyle changes. She believes that everyone can benefit from movement, healthy nutrition, prevention, and personalized support—regardless of age, health condition, or starting point.
Her goal is simple: to help people live better, move more, and build healthier lives—one healthy habit at a time.
